Hill's Pet Nutrition is seeking a highly-analytical Sr. Financial Analyst! The Sr. Financial Analyst - Commercial offers strategic and financial leadership to the Commercial team (Marketing and Sales), delivering quality decision support, value creation and business opportunities. They will manage execution of internal monthly financial KPIs reporting, provide support in the commercial planning process for Budget and LE’s, and collaborate in the development and creation of enhanced budgeting and reporting tools and processes. They will also manage ad hoc projects, as needed.

 

What you will do:

Monthly Volume results review and commentary:

  • Volume commentary consolidation and reporting
  • Local Daily Sales Flash preparation
  • Revenue Recognition tracking and coordination with CS&L and CBS

Month end activities:

  • Reporting activities including analysis and interpretation of monthly volume results and preparation of schedules for month end review with Canada Finance Manager and Division
  • All Volume related schedules including Pipeline model management
  • Mix analysis & ad hoc analysis

Budget and LE’s activities:

  • Exhibits preparation and coordination
  • Participates in cross-functional CDO/Marketing teams and evaluates and reports on the financial impact of proposed initiatives.
  • Volume consolidation, Atlas/CSiP integration and adjustment
  • Pricing and standard cost Validation in CSiP 

Provide Financial support to the Commercial team (Vet / Pet and e-Comm):

  • Provide support to the commercial team (Marketing & Sales) in the evaluation and analysis of New products launch, Price increases, promotional activities and the effectiveness of promotional spending, utilizing ROI tool
  • Vet and Pet programs analysis and payout validation

SOX Corporate Governance (documentation, assessment and testing):

  • Active participant in financial controls including documentation, assessment and testing of control environment. Includes interaction with internal and external auditors and adherence to requirements imposed by Sarbanes Oxley

Miscellaneous:

  • Customer/Brand and e-Comm P&Ls, Category Performance Statement, SGA confirmation and analysis
  • Inbound freight projection for Budget and LE’s. W&D Actual vs Plan variance analysis

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years Senior Financial Analyst or Brand Accountant experience
  • Experience with analysis related to sales finance or financial planning
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP modules (minimum SD, PA, FI)
  • Advanced Experience with Windows (Excel) and Google collaboration tools
