The Sr. Manager Security is responsible for leading the Global Security strategy for the Colgate Palmolive manufacturing facility in Mexico.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee implementation of approved Global Security programs for business and manufacturing operations, and confirm the effectiveness for these initiatives and strategies. These initiatives include but are not limited to facilities protection, investigations, supply chain security, workplace security, travel security, personal security and coordinating executive and event protection.
- Provide technical support coordination, in conjunction with GS Technical
- Directs the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive Global Security security program to include direct oversight of security guard operations, access control procedures, alarm and CCTV systems, ID systems for employees/vendors/visitors, headquarters emergency response planning, and executive protection.
- Maintain consistent communications and flow of information with all stakeholders at Mission Hills.
- Develop strategies to counter risks and gain buy-in and support from appropriate management.
- Identify, develop, implement, and maintain security processes, practices, and policies throughout the area of his/her responsibility to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure and liability in all areas of assets, physical, personal and reputation risk.
- Incorporate approved security standards and guidelines into projects to include construction, renovation and production related projects.
- Security Specialist, to Mission Hills management teams and relevant company departments for the selection of security service providers and execution of technical security related contracts.
- Risk and crisis management of facilities (plant, warehouse), personnel, product, cargo.
- Work in consultation with Global Security and the Director of Manufacturing: identify, develop, implement and maintain security processes, practices and policies to reduce risk, respond to incidents and limit exposure and liability in all areas of assets, physical, personal and reputational risk.
- Ensure compliance of current and planned security operations with laws and applicable regulations of the host country.
- Strategic planning for asset security and future growth of the facility.
- Creation of guard orders to support policies and procedures. Manage all on-site security vendor operations and ensure those operations and facility tours are performed as contracted through procedural and technical means.
- Support the Director of Manufacturing by regularly conducting benchmarking and risk assessments in the local region where our manufacturing facilities are located.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing director, human resources manager, procurement department and other relevant departments for the selection of security service providers and monitor the acquisition costs and performance of these providers.
- Build relationships with regional peers and leaders across the consumer products industry in Mission Hills.
- Maintain strong communication and support links with the Overseas Security Advisory Council and local law enforcement, emergency services, and regulatory agencies across Mexico.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Industrial Engineering, International Business, or related field.
- 7-10 years of police, security, or military years of functional experience
- 3 years of experience in the consumer goods industry preferred (manufacturing environment)
- Intermediate-advanced english level.
- Proven experience leading a team.
Skills:
- Security risk management and threat analysis skills and demonstrated skills in writing and reviewing security procedures and plans.
- Keen understanding of geopolitical risk.
- Understanding of emergency management and life safety policy.
- Google and Microsoft Office Suite
- Practical knowledge of technical security systems (alarms, CCTV, access control) and experience in managing uniform guard services.
- Experience in conducting sensitive investigations.
- Desirable experience in supply chain security.
