Process Development Engineer

 

Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose:

  • Develop and create the strategy to improve the capabilities of the PD&I team to shape the future by the standardization of the documentation processes and the creation of relevant Technical Information letters which contain the best practices to build, select, improve and standardize the current and new equipment and installations.

  • Regular communication with engineering teams from different CP plants worldwide and  suppliers to confirm the best practices for the equipment and its installations to be included in the documents.

  • The candidate must have good communication influencing and writing skills as well as being able to lead the process by influencing the right partners for the development of the documents and its recipient creation and organization.

  • The position will be located at the Pilot Plant in Mission Hills. The position will be covering the Personal Care and Home Care categories and reporting to Mario Herrera/Roberto Hernández.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Research at different available sources from the Internet, Colgate engineering worldwide and suppliers about the best practices for the equipment and installation designs to be included for the Technical Information Letters.

  • Create and organize the best practical option to store the new TILS and PD&I documentation to facilitate being consulted and to assure it will be easily stored and updated.

  • Search and organize the available TIL’s and update as required according to its priority.

  • The documentation specialist must be able to create the strategy, complete the defined priority documents and prepare its roll out.

  • The creation and organization of the PD&I documentation will shape the future by creating the documents to compare and improve the installations and facilitate the standardized installations for the new projects and the base line for the current ones.

  • The PD&I documentation specialist will be able to be part of a new way of working for the team, he position is new in the area and will integrate the engineering knowledge with the real practices at the industry and the exposure at different areas of the company.

 

Required  Qualifications:

  • Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  • Previous experience in process manufacturing equipment (tanks, reactors, agitators, pumps, etc).

  • At least two years experience in chemical plants, projects and/or engineering services companies.

  • Use of databases, google and new TI technologies.

  • Excellent communication, fluid oral and written communication for the research and writing of the documents.

  • Basic qualifications must be able to assessed from resume alone
