Position Summary:

Perform and document routine microbiological analyses to support the microbiological control program. Support the plant in the implementation and monitoring of the corporate "Microbiological Control - QS023" standard.

 

Responsibilities/Activities: 

  • Perform microbiological analyses of product samples.
  • Participate in various failure investigations when results are within alert limits.
  • Collect and perform data analysis.
  • Apply and implement the methodology, as well as perform data interpretation.
  • Maintain a quality system in the laboratory.
  • Properly and safely destroy infectious biological waste generated by microbiological analyses, as well as send it to the plant's hazardous waste containment area.
  • Supervise an external vendor in the installation qualification, operational qualification, and performance qualification of all laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Maintain clear and organized records of laboratory analyses and controls.
  • Provide training courses on microware, good manufacturing practices, cleaning, and sanitation.
  • Know and apply the quality standards of the Colgate Quality System and the Factory Performance and Reliability standards, according to the responsibility matrix and developed implementation plans.

 

Skills and Qualities:

  • Pharmaceutical Chemist, Biologist, Biotechnology/Biology Engineer, or related fields.
  • 1-3 years in similar operations.
  • General microbiological analysis.
  • Good manufacturing practices.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs/Office and PC.
  • Verification of laboratory equipment.
  • English Intermediate / Advanced.
