Contract Manufacturing Supply Manager

The CM Supply Manager, is responsible for supporting cross category North America Contract Manufacturing (CM) product sourcing initiatives that include: developing regional product sourcing strategies for existing and new products, driving product simplification, managing regional capacities, seeking savings opportunities in product sourcing help drive regional FTG (Funding the Growth) program and developing supply chain contingency plans for business interruption. The role is also responsible for managing and integrating other areas of the organization and leading  managing end to end metrics and reporting to senior management.


Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Lead efforts to keep sku’s produced at contract manufacturers above the goal, Anticipate and elevate challenges and forward actions to meet customer demand.
  • Product Sourcing: Support the analysis of strategies for product launches and product source changes to deliver the lowest cost supply structure while aligning with the commercial needs. This involves direct involvement with sourcing studies and coordinating new product launches to ensure smooth manufacturing startup and timely supply of goods.
  • Product Simplification: Support efforts in North America (NA) formula and packaging harmonization / standardization to reduce costs and improve factory flexibility and service.
  • Capacity Management: Work with both Procurement and Category Network Operations to define capacity at the Contract Manufacturers to meet product demand and raise challenges in the short and midterm to support budgeted volumes.
  • Work with external manufacturers to grantee the Supply of materials required for production, working directly with Colgate Procurement to use Colgate global negotiations and relationships, addressing all possible material supply shortages on time.
  • Work with Procurement and Contract Manufacturer, giving clear priorities and expectations and tracking performance.
  • Work with Tech Transfer and the Contract Manufacturer to make sure all Colgate Process are followed and the operation is done in an efficient and standard way.
  • Contingency Planning: Work to develop and implement risk plans for North America CMs that are actionable in case of a catastrophic event and interruption in the supply chain.
  • FTG: Identify savings opportunities through product sourcing and simplification initiatives. Work closely with key functional project leaders (Technical, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Packaging, Finance and Marketing) to ensure saving programs are implemented on time and that savings are captured and reported accurately.
  • Critical metrics management: Consolidate and develop monthly metrics report to drive visibility of the NA E2E organization.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in (Engineering, Logistics, Procurement, Research & Development or other relevant field).
  • At least 8 years of Supply Chain experience with focus in Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Engineering and/or Product Development.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Previous experience working in a Manufacturing Plant
  • Solid understanding and experience in packaging, planning or procurement areas.


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $102,400.00 - $144,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
