Colgate Palmolive Athens plant has been operating since 1968 in Piraeus. It is a modern industrial unit with a high degree of automation. It has innovative equipment and follows an impressive course of development and modernization in all departments, such as packaging, mass production, palletizing, warehouse of materials and products. The factory also operates a modern unit for the production of plastic bottles and caps, which is also constantly being upgraded. The factory produces most of the brands of the company's Home Care category, mainly for export.
We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Blow Molding Operations team!
The role : Production Technician Blow Molding
reporting to Team Leader Blow Molding
You will integrate in the Plastics Department in the operation and maintenance of production machines for polyethylene bottles (HDPE Blow Molders), BET bottles (Stretch Blow Molders) and caps (Injection Molders). As a Production Technician you will be responsible for the effective equipment operation, autonomous & preventive maintenance, on line quality control and changeovers in production line equipment. You will work with others to achieve factory business objectives of safety, efficiency, customer service, quality, cost and environmental protection. The primary accountabilities of your role include daily production, quality and sanitization procedures, safety compliance, equipment maintenance procedures, data collection, housekeeping, problem solving and continuous improvement as part of a work team. You will work within a structure that requires considerable interaction with others in the same production unit as well as other production units and support functions.
What you need for this position:
- Technical education (EPAL, EPAS, TEE, IEK, TEI) Mechanical or related
- Communication skills: Excellent command of Greek and English languages
- Digital literacy: PC proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner and working collaboratively with others
- Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementing them
It’s an advantage to have:
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience
