The Senior Specialist, Global Corporate Communications will help tell our Company’s purpose story and create impact with priority stakeholders (Colgate People, Recruits, Customers). This individual contributor will be an outstanding storyteller who has experience crafting content across earned, paid and owned media. You will develop and execute communications including press releases, social posts, speeches, Q&As and articles, as well as working with executives to advance their communication priorities. 
 
This is a highly influential and visible role that requires someone who is creative and curious, a strong writer who uses digital platforms, is well organized, knows how to work cross-functionally and is able to balance multiple projects and contending priorities. We are looking for a true storyteller and PR professional!

 

What you will do

  • Strategy: Support execution of Global Corporate Communications Strategy and 2025 Media Plan to share the Company's purpose and deliver on its business objectives
  • Creative Writer: Develop content across paid, owned and earned channels to ensure we are constantly marketing our efforts to key partners. This will include writing long and short form articles, blog and social posts and more, as well as story mining with CP subject matter experts
  • PR Agency Support: Collaborate with corporate PR agency on earned and paid opportunities
  • Executive Communications: In partnership with the Senior Manager, work with the below executives – crafting a routine cadence of connectivity  to share our purpose story:
    • Chief Analytics and Insights Officer
    • Chief Clinical Officer
    • Chief Digital Officer
    • Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer
    • Global Head of AI
    • Chief Human Resources Officer
    • Chief Information Officer
    • Chief Supply Chain Officer
      Chief Sustainability Officer
    • Chief Technology Officer
    • SVP, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Global People Relations
  • Support CSR Activities: Develop, execute and own communications plan for Colgate Women’s Games, the company’s signature U.S.-based corporate social impact initiative

  • Lead Raters and Rankers List: Oversee master list of raters and rankers the Company receives throughout the year including tracking, communicating to executives and working with the Corporate Social & Digital and Employee Communications teams 

  • Manage ERG Communications: Work with Company’s Employee Resource Groups on communications for signature moments

  • Collaborating with CP People: Collaborate with the Employee Communications and the Corporate Social & Digital team to ensure our content is laddering up to the team’s media plan

  • Strategic: Able to execute a corporate communication strategy that positions Colgate-Palmolive as a caring, innovative growth company – and makes an impact with our key stakeholders, including Colgate People
  • Growth-oriented: Understands public relations and the media landscape to help the Company share Colgate 2025 (and upcoming Colgate 2030)
  • Writer: Strong writing capabilities for long-form and short-form content on social, corporate website, internal channels
  • Creative: Open to experimenting and bringing new ways of working

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of communications experience in a consumer-oriented global and/or media organization

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • PR experience and / or journalism background
  • Portfolio of diverse writing samples and a strong project manager
  • Loves a fast-paced, global environment
  • Ability to engage with senior-most executives on routine basis


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $102,400.00 - $128,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
