We are looking for a Manager, Federal Tax to be responsible for reviewing tax accounting for international operations, managing aspects of federal tax compliance and tax accounting for select domestic entities, support consolidation and special tax projects. The individual will work collaboratively and effectively with finance and tax teams to ensure seamless, timely, efficient, and accurate tax accounting and compliance. You must have strong knowledge of tax accounting under ASC 740 as well as US domestic tax matters.
Responsibilities:
- Tax Accounting:
- Review quarterly effective tax rates, prepare current and deferred income tax provision utilizing software, perform deferred balance sheet tests for select US and foreign entities
- Assist with preparation of annual tax footnote disclosure
- Review and document transactions in tax payable accounts and determine impact on tax calculations for select US entities
- Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and/or review quarterly estimates, tax return calculations and tax forms utilizing software for select domestic entities and federal consolidation including preparing supporting documentation
- Assist with preparing and documenting specialized US tax calculations, such as BEAT, R&D tax credit and FDII
- Support with preparing responses to information requests from IRS audit
- Perform research of federal tax issues and make recommendations regarding application of tax laws to the company
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree; Master’s in Accounting or Taxation
- 5+ years of experience in tax accounting and domestic tax compliance
- Solid knowledge of US tax law including experience with identifying domestic tax issues and conducting related research
- Strong tax accounting and domestic tax compliance experience
- Strong managerial skills with a hands on approach
- Must demonstrate proficient use of tax software and have good excel skills
- Readiness to travel 10% travel annually as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA License
- 3+ years of Public Accounting experience
- Must be highly motivated, very organized with a high level of accountability
- Experience working collaboratively and effectively with teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $106,400.00 - $150,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
