We are looking for a motivated and proactive intern to join our Supply Chain and Demand Planning team for a 6 months internship. The position offers a unique opportunity to learn about and contribute to supply chain operations processes, actively participate in the monthly forecast cycle and forecasting process supporting the business growth, assist in optimizing stock management and interface with the international S&OP team based in Paris.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and Consolidate Efficient Demand Planning: Collaborate with other business functions to establish an effective demand planning process. Regularly interact with the sales team to gather customer needs and sales forecasts. Identify deviations from the sales forecast plan and work with the team to realign. Monitor daily changes in the promotional plan and adjust forecasts accordingly;

  • Demand Planning Review: Prepare for and participate in the Monthly Forecast Cycle to develop forecasts that align with business objectives. Identify risks and opportunities, quantify their impact, and provide actionable feedback;

  • Slow Moving & Obsolete Inventory Management: Create and implement an action plan to reduce slow-moving inventory in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams. Effectively manage the disposal of obsolete materials, ensuring transparency and compliance with Management's approval;

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Assist in collecting and analyzing sales and forecast data to enhance decision-making processes and improve overall accuracy;

  • Performance Reporting and Improvement: Participate in the creation of supply chain performance reports and propose recommendations for continuous improvement;

  • Manage copacking activities: overseeing inbound and outbound stock flows with 3PL copackers to support sales in accordance with marketing team.

 

KEY CHALLENGES:

 

  • Achieve forecast accuracy targets set by the division;

  • Measure & Track Performance: measure, improve, and report KPIs and outcomes

  • Participate in inventory management activities, including action plans for stock reduction.

 

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Degree or Master Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related fields
  • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively, with strong analytical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Curious, proactive, and possessing critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in using standard software packages, and have the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools as needed
  • Excellence communication skills and strong team-working ability
  • Information Technology skills
  • Fluent in Italian and English
