Production Planner, Greenwood, SC
The Production Planner position is responsible for developing the daily production schedules in alignment with Customer Service and Operational requirements. In addition, the Production Planner maintains vendor relations and manages the supply/availability of raw and packaging materials to support the production schedules.
Responsibilities include:

Develop weekly/daily/monthly production schedules from the Master Schedule

Manage and coordinate manufacturing needs to insure that the plant is adhering to production schedules while minimizing labor cost and meeting cycle-time inventory (CTI) goals.

Review demand from SAP/APO to develop a production schedule to meet customer demands where appropriate; logistics and capacity constraints and Operations/Making parameters.

Manage inventory of finished goods, and ordering raw and packaging materials to support production requirements, service needs and working capital objectives.

Manage raw and packaging materials coverage in order to maintain inventory levels.

Ensures data integrity of SAP/APO to include demand, inventory levels, BOMs, and material masters.

Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, R&D and Supply Chain in order to plan for changes and new development in the workplace.

Maintain open lines of communication with key vendors and sharing information relevant to changes in the business to continue the development of the partnership.

Ability to conduct/facilitate weekly scheduling and monthly capacity meetings

Timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) to include schedule adherence, case fill, and inventory returns.

Participate on the Vendor Continuous Improvement Teams representing the Supply Chain Team.

Support plant initiatives through involvement of activities/functions outside of Materials Planning.
Required Qualifications:
-
A minimum of a B.A./B.S. degree; business, engineering, logistics, planning or related field required.

Proficiency in Excel required and SAP R3 system experience required.

3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.

Fast learner, strong organizational skills, and time management.
Preferred:
-
Experience with planning/scheduling and/or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.

APO experience.
-
Experience applying analytical skills preferred.

Working knowledge of logistics and manufacturing systems required.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $72,400.00 - $114,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws.
