The Operations Team Leader is responsible for leading production activities, developing collaborative partnerships with operational colleagues, and ensuring the achievement of key performance indicators and daily performance goals. This role emphasizes adherence to Factory Performance & Reliability (FP&R) practices and principles, quality, and safety standards within a value-driven, performance-based environment.
Duties and Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate the activities of up to 35 Operation Technicians engaged in production to ensure safety, innovation, technical expertise, analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Incorporate FP&R, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), Lean Manufacturing, and Reliability Engineering in continuous improvement plans and systems.

Establish and maintain effective KPI measurement, tracking, reporting tools, and corrective actions for continuous improvement.

Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.

Confer with other supervisors and facility leaders to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.

Form, develop, and mentor the team in a value-driven, performance-based environment.

Conduct or coordinate training for team members in equipment operations, GMPs, quality, sanitation, maintenance, productivity, and safety procedures.

Empower teams with information sharing, mentor, feedback, appraisals, and delegation to ensure the development of people, skills, teams, and organizational capabilities.

Support the implementation of Quality Assurance and Food Safety initiatives.

Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and GMPs.

Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

Manage daily administrative tasks such as data entry for vacation, PTO, floating holidays, overtime, and attendance.

Responsible for temporary worker management, including safety policies, GMPs, equipment training, scheduling, and time card approval processes.

Apply continuous improvement methodologies to drive performance.

Facilitate a problem-solving environment that values and rewards team member involvement.

Participate in performance appraisals and optimally handle labor relations issues.

Benchmark best practices from other supply chain facilities.

Ensure compliance with standards of FP&R, including 5S & Visual Workplace, Autonomous Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement.

Support initiatives to improve Environmental Health & Safety (EOHS) and Quality performance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business related field preferred).
2+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Lean Six Sigma certification
Experience in a processing industry (food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals)
Knowledge of SAP systems and FP&R standards
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $72.400,00 - $101.500,00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws.
