Job Purpose:

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills? As a Finance Accountant at Hill's Pet Nutrition, you will play a key role in our financial reporting processes, supporting the Financial Controller in managing internal and external reporting and maintaining robust financial controls. What You Will Do:

  • Month-End Closing: Ensure a smooth month-end closing process, including journal entries and reconciliations, supported by our shared service centers.
  • Statutory Accounts & Tax: Assist in preparing annual statutory accounts and tax calculations, and provide information to auditors.
  • Financial Controls: Ensure adequate financial control processes within the organization, focusing on accounts payable/purchasing, payroll, account reconciliation, fiscal reporting, and CEB accounting.
  • Vendor & Payment Queries: Assist the AP team with queries about vendors and payments.
  • VAT & External Reporting: Report local VAT and other periodical external reporting per Italian statutory and tax regulations.
  • Treasury & Tax Support: Support treasury and tax accounting and reporting.
  • SOX Compliance: Assist with SOX compliance, including testing and detailing internal controls.
  • Travel Expense Monitoring: Monitor travel expense payments and ensure compliance with the local T&E policy.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist the finance team with ad hoc tasks and routine reporting.

 

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting.
  • Experience: Proficient experience in GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS (as applicable), and Italian statutory standards. Previous experience in financial and tax reporting from a professional accounting firm or a similar position.
  • International Environment: Willingness to work in an international environment and across multiple teams.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems. Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Google Sheets is an advantage.
  • Language Skills: Strong English speaking and writing skills.
