Job Summary *

Member of the Regional Andean Tax team in charge of the local subsidiary compliance. The key responsibilities are to ensure the Company meets its tax obligations and objectives, timely and accurately, considering relevant laws and regulations. Preparing and submitting tax returns, transfer pricing reports, electronic media, monthly tax returns. Ensure that required reports and maintenance of accurate tax records are done on timely manner. Lead tax audits support, corporate reports and requirements by each of them. Prioritise and self-assign tasks to ensure that the resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met. Work together with the Regional Tax Manager in order to identify tax opportunities and/or reduce tax risks.

 

Essential Job Functions 

  • Prepare and submit tax returns, local tax reports and maintaining tax records that are accurate and timely
  • Support local and Corporate tax audits.
  • Corporate tax reporting
  • Ensure that the Subsidiary meets its tax obligations, timely and accurately ensuring risks and opportunities are identified.
  • With the Regional Tax Manager, keep the Finance Director and other stakeholders informed of tax law changes that could affected the local business (impact and action plan)

 

Applied Knowledge and Skills *

  • Public accountant
  • Experience in local taxation law (tax audits, local compliance, tax reporting) and reasonable knowledge of international taxation.
  • 4-5 year in International tax firm.
  • English level: Upper intermediate.
  • Experience with SAP (Desirable)

 

Distinguishing Characteristics

 

Tax audits have been increasing in the last 5 years. The focus is currently on compliance. However, with the implementation of a transfer pricing Principal structure, it is important that the local tax team have previous experience with international taxation including transfer pricing, that allows it to have better control of tax audits and information requests from the tax authorities as well as support for the business in front of ever changing tax law legislation (risk and opportunities)
