Scope of Responsibility: 

The Inventory Analyst assists the Inventory Planning Manager in optimizing and modeling inventory strategies for specific product categories and/or regions, as directed by the Division. This role is responsible for establishing safety buffers and planning parameters to support inventory modeling. The goal is to help production and supply planners align the production plan and replenishment process with demand. Additionally, the Inventory Analyst generates regular weekly and monthly reports to enhance category processes, improve customer service targets, and achieve working capital objective

 

 Key activities include: 

 

  • Review Inventory Levels and Track Performance – Issue weekly and monthly inventory reports monitoring inventory levels using available tools and systems. Support “Get Fit Routine” meetings with inventory performance and KPI reporting for dedicated Regions.

  • Optimize Safety Buffers – Run optimization of safety buffers on a monthly/quarterly basis for all categories. Analyze changes between previous and the latest optimization results to support decision making. Update system parameters according to optimized results. 

  • Data Analytics – Perform analysis to identify inventory optimization/reduction opportunities through inventory modeling. 

  • Master Data Integrity - Responsible for master data integrity, data management and process updates to ensure modeling is executed accurately.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives – Develop and implement best practices and improvement initiatives related to inventory management and system utilization such as IBP Inventory Management, APO functionalities, master data, and functionalities, Sigma  for Division and Hub/Sub teams.

  • Mid Year review and Budgeting operational preparation for Cost of sales reviews for dedicated Regions.

  • Additionally, the Inventory Analyst is responsible for tracking inventory right-sizing to ensure optimal stock levels.

  • Key interfaces are Supply Network Planning, Demand Planning, Finance, Global Planning and Manufacturing Planning.

 

Experience:

1-3 years’ experience of Planning in Consumer Goods or Manufacturing. SAP/APO/IBP systems experience is a must, Snowflake, Sigma and Domo is a plus
