In today's dynamic retail environment, it is an exciting time to be a part of the Customer Development team at Colgate. Our Dollar Tree Team is dedicated to driving growth for Colgate-Palmolive and Dollar Tree in this constantly evolving retail landscape. What role will you play as a member of the Dollar Tree team?
As the Associate Customer Development Manager - Dollar Tree, you will be a key influencer to the customer to grow sales, increase the share of market, improve services, and identify supply chain efficiencies. This position focuses on achieving sales goals through relationship management. You will help manage the relationship between Colgate and Dollar Tree, communicating our corporate and brand strategies, understanding customer objectives and strategies, and ensuring maximum profitability and mutual success. You'll work with your manager to develop and present business plans and understand and refine plan implications and customer input to build growth through increased market share and financial return.

- You connect the dots: You grasp the big picture to identify areas of opportunity for products and programs and develop Customer Marketing strategies that incorporate consumer insights. You are aware of competitor activity to create promotional strategies.
- You are a collaborator: You will establish partnerships with multiple parties, including internal cross-functional teams, brokers, and the customer retail team. These relationships thrive on mutual trust and integrity to achieve deliverables and execute against strategy and goals.
- You are an innovator: You look for creative solutions and continuously seek ways to improve. You adapt and adjust strategy with the customer, revisit objectives, and gain insights from pre- and post-evaluation and return on investment analyses to incorporate learnings into future strategies.
- You are curious: Understanding business trends in each account through fact-based analysis, including brand share, pricing, promotion levels, and trade class development is essential. You seek to understand what works and what does not so we can refine customer tactics together.
What you will do:
- Work closely with the Customer Development Manager to implement profitable growth strategies
- Collaborate with CatMan to provide syndicated data reporting and analytics to uncover new opportunities and influence the customer
- Work with CPFR to ensure accurate and timely forecasting and replenishment to ensure excellent service
- Help maintain Atlas plans and provide key business insights and drivers to CDO leadership
- Route Displays/Exclusive SKUs to appropriate locations, ensuring visibility and tracking
- Create DA / RO submissions using inputs from CDM
- Support customer Sample Requests
- Conduct Post-promo analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and identify areas for improvement
- Perform inventory analysis to optimize stock levels and reduce out-of-stocks
- Create new display/endcap mixes that appeal to customers and increase sales potential
- Work with CXG and Dollar Tree marketing teams to evaluate and enhance shopper marketing programs
- Provide business analytics for internal and external collaboration meetings
- Work closely with Dollar Tree CPFR to ensure accurate forecasting and high service levels
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 - 5+ years of experience in sales roles or related fields
- Experience working with a syndicated service (Nielsen, IRI) account
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in consumer product goods
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $94,000.00 - $133,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
