The Operations Planning Coordinator will execute the effective finished goods production scheduling and replenishment of finished goods, raw & packaging materials to meet forecasted demand and distribution.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet or exceed safety and quality standards.
- Plan master production schedule developed by IPD Group (Inventory, Planning and Deployment) by setting daily and weekly production schedules; keep Operations informed of schedules, and schedule adjustments as necessary.
- Use SAP data/system to set production plans, schedule requirements, inventory management, and schedule adherence.
- Verify accuracy of daily transactions in SAP, production reporting systems, and yield reporting; performs monthly and quarterly inventories — physical and system.
- Make arrangements to maintain inventory levels while facing logistical issues; recommend contingency plans to Planning Mgr to address business interruption; facilitate troubleshooting of production scheduling problems, inventory variances, and yield variances in a timely manner.
- Support productivity initiatives by monitoring processes to deliver against key performance goals including Production, Inventory, Scrap, Cost, Plant Service Level, Cycle Time Interval and Schedule Attainment.
- Work closely with the Planning Manager to deliver customer service, productivity, and cost results.
- Update SOP, SAP material master, and work with the controller on costing of product ingredient changes.
- Ensure inventory processes and controls to optimally handle receiving, inventory, SLOB, and working capital.
- Coordinate with Inventory, Planning & Deployment (IPD) team to support Hill’s domestic and international demand.
- Enforce to operating budgets for variable and fixed overheads for the production planning and materials team.
- Ensure that all materials shipped and received are in compliance with corporate and government standards for quality, trace-ability, and bio-terrorism..

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
- Works with cross functional teams to implement and maintain CP Best Practices for Factory Performance and Reliability.
- Works with raw and packaging material suppliers, quality, EHS, and corporate procurement to improve quality, reliability, cost, and safety.
- Coordinates w/ Corporate GIT to ensure effective SAP implementation.
- Works w/ Corporate IPD, Procurement, and Customer Service & Logistics to ensure world class customer service and quality.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in production or planning, or purchasing/customer service and logistics.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in finished goods production planning and replenishment of finished goods, raw & packaging materials to meet forecasted demand and distribution.
- Food manufacturing experience.
- Results Orientation, including Planning/Priority Setting.
- Emphasis on Consumer/Customer Focus
- Systems and conceptual thinking, with emphasis on SAP experience/skills.
- Good technical, communications, and interpersonal skills.
- Broad Supply Chain perspective.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $51,200 - $77,500 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
