Job Summary:

  • Responsible for developing RE(Retail Environment) strategy and action plans for Clinic and Therapeutic EC/DTC/B&M channels with the support from manager
    • Develop and evaluate 7P strategy by RE
  • Responsible for implementing RE(Retail Environment) strategy and actions for Clinic channel  with the support from manager
    • Execute and track 7P strategy and actions
    • Manage national customer promotions for Clinic channel
  • Responsible for leading and supporting RCD(Retail Category Development) for Clinic and Therapeutic EC/DTC/B&M channels with the support from manager
    • Develop Customer/RE segmentation for Clinic and Therapeutic EC/DTC/B&M channels
    • Co-develop Category vision & strategy for Clinic and Therapeutic EC/DTC/B&M channels
    • Support RCD and key customer planning & evaluation for Clinic and Therapeutic EC/DTC/B&M channels
    • Execute and track key customer actions for Clinic channel
    • Support increasing business productivity of CD for Clinic channel
  • Responsible for co-leading GPS(Growth Planning Solution) for Clinic and Therapeutic EC/DTC/B&M channels with the support from manager
    • Lead RGM
    • Co-lead Annual Commercial Planning & Investment with brand marketing, CD, finance and CS&L
    • Co-lead Monthly Commercial Planning & Investment with brand marketing, CD, finance and CS&L

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop RE strategy with the support from manager(20%)
    • Develop 7P strategy(Product assortment, Price, Promotion, Placement, POP, Professional recommendation and Persuasion) by RE based on in-depthunderstanding of People Journey as well as category, customer and shopper insights by RE
    • Develop impactful 7P action plans and tools/programs -For EC/DTC, support DC team
    • Set the KPIs and evaluate the effectiveness of the 7P strategy and actions, and optimize/shape the future strategy -For EC/DTC, support DC team
    • Co-create BGP(Brand Growth Plan) and BEP(Brand Experience Plan) with Brand Marketing by bringing RE knowledge
  • Lead implementing RE strategy for Clinic channel with the support from manager
    • Ensure the executional compliance of 7P strategy and action plans with CD, explain the strategy, clarify the actions and provide necessary training & education
    • Manage national customer promotions
    • Work closely with CD, find barriers and solutions for the improvement of their actions
    • Track the KPIs of the 7P strategy and actions, identify issues and opportunities for optimization
  • Lead and Support RCD with the support from manager
    • Develop customer segmentation to prioritize growth, resource and investment
    • Co-lead category vision development with brand marketing
    • Support key customer JVC planning and business reporting to the key customers
    • Develop shopper-oriented solutions to win at the key customers -For EC/DTC, support DC team
    • Provide relevant trade stories with the goal to increase the value of the category -For EC/DTC, support DC team
    • Develop tools and programs for key customers for Clinic channel
    • Ensure the executional compliance of the key customer plans with CD for Clinic channel
    • Work closely with CD, find barriers and solutions for the improvement of their actions for Clinic channel
    • Set and track the KPIs and evaluate the effectiveness of the key customer plans for Clinic channel
  • Co-lead GPS with the support from manager
    • Lead RGM as a part of the annual commercial planning, organize and prepare for RGM workshop and track the progress
    • Develop annual commercial grid & customer investment guideline(GtN and A&P) based on 7P strategy and RGM as well as the past learning of promotion ROI, evaluate the effectiveness quarterly and optimize at LEs -For EC/DTC, support DC team
    • Track the executional compliance of commercial grid & customer investment(GtN and A&P) vs. annual target and guideline for Clinic channel
    • Conduct pre and post analyses of promotions, archive performance and ROI history for Clinic channel
    • Participate in monthly discipline meetings(Meeting1,2,3) and plan gap-fill & effective use of SLOB  -For EC/DTC, support DC team
    • Develop bottom-up forecast for New Products, Renewal and Promotions with CD for Clinic channel

    • Administrative work which associate with the areas of responsibilities
    • Follows the other requests of the supervisor within the area of responsibilities

 

Education/ Experience Requirements:

  • BA degree.
  • 3+ years experience in similar roles in sales/customer planning or trade/retail/customer marketing.
  • 3+ years sales/customer development experience 

 

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Capability to develop and implement RE strategy, action plans and customer plans based on understanding of respective REs, customers, shoppers and category.
  • Project management / leadership skills to work in cross-functional team environment
  • Analytics and financial capability for budget planning, customer planning and forecasting
  • Multifunctional capacity and flexibility to deal with ambiguous situations
  • Communication fluency in Japanese and business English
  • Google Slides, Sheets, Docs; Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word; Intage SRI
