Job Summary (Purpose) : 

 

The Brand Manager plays an integral role in driving market share and business growth, driving volume and strengthening equity of the brand/s he is responsible for. They are responsible for the full business management of the brand, from conceptualization, implementation and evaluation of consumer marketing programs which involve but are not limited to Product, Pricing, Promotions, Placement, POPs, and Advertising/Communication (across mainstream and emerging touchpoints ie TV, Radio, Digital etc), all CBP processes, business reviews and regional projects.

 

Developing Brand and Category Plans:

● Assessing the viability and potential of new products for the local market and developing Go-to-Market plans to launch new products.

● Developing and implementing Category Go-to-Market plans that is fully aligned to business objectives

● Adapting packaging graphics and ensuring approved artworks are submitted to the Customer Service and Logistics Department.

● Developing and implementing Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) Plans to drive business growth and evaluating performance of IMC plans, finding opportunities for the next IMCs

● Co-creating brand experience plans across relevant platforms (TV/Digital or Digital only) where our consumers are and providing them with impactful, engaging and relevant content that would drive both equity and conversion in offline and online channels through a collaboration across multi-functional team ie IBE, Ecommerce and agencies

● Identifying and developing a favorable pricing strategy within the portfolio together with Finance

● Partnering with the Consumer Insights team to understand consumer research needs for the brand and participating in Consumer Insight Studies to drive Consumer attitude in Commercial team

● Developing and implementing full year IMC and NPI Grid based on Consumer Insights, Brand and Financial objectives

 

Using CBP Process to Drive the Business:

● Providing inputs to Demand Planning to ensure complete commercial alignment on demand plans

● Preparing Exception forms and critical metric trackers for the Commercial Gap Meeting

● Preparing and co-presenting category deck that includes important metric trackers from Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Development/Customer Marketing, etc. in the Leadership Alignment Meeting and provide Manteam visibility on brand exceptions and actions for approval

 

Budget Planning and Other Marketing responsibilities:

● Co-developing volume estimates by brand and by SKU within top-down sub category goals

● Budget review

● Developing advertising budget by brand including frozen reserves for Mid-Year / Budget based on guidelines

● Developing action plans to reach budgeted SKU simplification goals by sub category

● Developing media briefs

● Working with cross-functional team to develop long term Brand Growth Plans and corresponding strategies and tactics for each key lever that drives brand growth

 

Required (Education, Knowledge required, Language skills, etc)

● Bachelor's Degree required in any Business course

● 3+ years in product management

● FMCG experience

 

Preferred Requirements:

● Digitally savvy: has worked on digital campaigns with validated results

● Identifies and implements standard methodologies for measuring and reporting digital critical metrics.

● Hands-on experience with branding and digital marketing from concept to execution.

● Proven communication skills, capable of raising consensus at all levels: peers, executives, team members.
