Job Purpose
The role entails advising a team to achieve sales and customer engagement goals, while encouraging strong customer relationships and representing Hill’s as a premium nutrition partner. It involves implementing Joint Value Creation initiatives, leading investments, and ensuring plan alignment for excellent outcomes. Additionally, it requires conducting strategic negotiations and providing analytics to optimize brand performance, collaborating with internal teams for effective execution. The Pets at Home (PAH) KAM is a critical strategic member of the organization given their responsibility includes one of our biggest business units within the subsidiary.
What you will do:
- Setting the direction and owning the PAH cross functional team to collectively deliver outstanding results and outstaning customer engagement with Pets at Home, whilst representing them with passion internally within the business.
- Achieving sales, shares and 6P goals across the omnichannel universe.
- Building outstanding customer relationships underpinned by consumer and customer centric focus
- Owning, developing, negotiating and implementing Joint Value with our client
- Accountability for internal coordination and alignment to ensure excellent execution of all plans: Assortment movement, promotional activities, budget investment.
- Conduct effective negotiations to implement Terms and Conditions sought at achieving mutually profitable growth.
- Owning and delivering analytics for the ecosystem to ensure a deep knowledge of category and brand performance delivering insights proposing actions to optimize performance and investment (contract and promotion, value).
- Represent our company as the strategic partner of choice in premium small animal nutrition.
- Develop a keen understanding of customer strategies, policies and future plans
- Co-create mutually agreed strategy with PAH team, cascading into operational 12 month growth plan - supervising everyday execution with excellence, leading externally quarterly reviews and course correction proposals in partnership bringing in the wider Hills team as appropriate.
- Internally lead and collaborate with the wider Hill’s team (CS&L, Marketing, Finance), to develop and bring the PAH Joint Business Plan to life. Lead the organization in developing the best consumer centric plans: assortment, planograms, promotion & support plans, POS material, training to drive recommendation.
- Participate in Country Commercial Planning Process and bring PAH B&M and eComm Perspective and opportunities
- Lead agreed budget for Commercial Investment. Propose the best investment strategy for Budget and LEs
- Ensure Distribution Policy implementation and compliance to Commercial Selling Principles

- Be able analyze sales data and market trends to optimize strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
- Develop long-term strategies to cultivate account growth.
- Capability to quickly identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Lead multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with ecommerce tools, platforms, and digital marketing techniques.
- Strong focus on achieving sales targets and supplying to company growth.
