Customer Development Manager - 14 month parental cover

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

Reporting to: Customer Development Team Lead Sweden

 

 

Job Purpose:

The Customer Development Manager works closely to build relationships with our customers to deliver on our targets such as net sales and margin by building and implementing mutually profitable business plans. They have a clear understanding of the retailer strategy, their shoppers, how to grow the categories and strengthen the Colgate-Palmolive brands.

 

 

What you will do

  • To deliver quarterly and annual net sales/margin targets/market shares
  • To demonstrate commercial sharpness
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the retailer strategy, their shoppers and how Colgate can strengthen the Colgate-Palmolive brands and strategic intents within this environment.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to understand category growth opportunities and how to optimize for both Colgate and our customer
  • Be responsible for collaborative planning with your customer, owning the input and delivery of an accurate Customer forecast volume/sales/investment 
  • Work closely and creatively with marketing and the field team to identify, develop and implement the appropriate business solutions required to drive the retailer business forward
  • To build strong internal and external networks and collaborate across functions to help deliver on key business priorities

  • A commercially clever individual, with the ability to build strong business relationships whilst developing and implementing new, sustainable, mutually profitable business solutions.
  • A forward-thinking, ambitious character, with strategic capabilities, able to influence and negotiate both internally and externally, with a clear commitment to delivering business results in a timely manner.

  • You hold an academic degree 
  • Key Account experience  
  • You are a team player using both head, heart and hands in everything I do
  • You are fluent in Swedish and English 

 

Key areas of opportunity 

To be able to lead a demanding, constantly evolving customer with the appropriate level of creativity, whilst ensuring that the business decisions are mutually profitable and sustainable for both parties. It is critical to be able to prioritize and respond to a large number of shifting requests in a timely manner, whilst keeping the broader CP business informed of the evolution of the retailer.  This is essential in order to secure the level of investment and focus required to enable you to deliver your customer business plan.
