JOB PURPOSE:
As Social Commerce Manager, you will be responsible for achieving a 10x increase in social commerce performance across the region. This will involve a deep dive into mature social commerce operating models, both internal to Colgate and within the broader industry, to extract actionable insights. You will then apply these learnings to develop tailored strategies for different markets, considering their unique characteristics and opportunities. This role is pivotal in establishing Colgate as a leader in social commerce, driving brand uplift, significant revenue growth and market share.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Social Commerce Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive social commerce strategies aligned with overall business objectives to drive sales, increase brand engagement, and expand market reach across the region.
- Identify and evaluate emerging social commerce trends, platforms, and technologies, and pilot innovative approaches to optimize performance and maintain a competitive edge.
- Create a strategy and roadmap for Colgate to become a leader in social commerce across Asia Pacific, including commercial strategy, content creation, partner models and other aspects of social commerce
- Capability Building:
- Develop and deliver training programs and resources to enhance social commerce knowledge and skills across marketing teams, ensuring consistent execution and best practice sharing.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements to drive social commerce growth.
- Performance Analysis and Reporting:
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop robust tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor the effectiveness of social commerce activities, providing regular insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of social commerce activities and alignment with broader business goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external partners, including social media platforms, agencies, and technology providers, to leverage their expertise and resources to drive social commerce success.
KEY INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS
- Division leadership, particularly in Marketing and Customer Development
- Digital customers (e-retailers)
- Local digital commerce and marketing leads
- Tik Tok, Shopee, Lazada and other partners
EDUCATION AND FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social commerce strategy development and implementation, particularly within the APAC region.
- Demonstrated expertise in social commerce, with a strong understanding of emerging digital trends and technologies.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in analysis and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with the capability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with key SEA platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, etc.
- Experience with livestreaming, short-video content creation and influencer management
- Experience with mainland china platforms and capabilities is nice to have.
