1.- JOB OBJECTIVES 

The Services Procurement Specialist for Professional Services is tasked with leading sourcing activities, negotiations, supplier relationship management, contracting, and risk mitigation efforts. These activities are designed to support internal partners and deliver efficiencies and optimization within the Professional Services Category. The role requires the promotion and utilization of procurement methodologies, category management strategies, strategic sourcing activities, and cost-saving initiatives, while maintaining close collaboration with internal business stakeholders. Key responsibilities include supporting partners in areas such as IT, Benefits, Fleet, and other sub-categories within Colgate-Palmolive's LATAM Division, specifically in Brazil. The Services Procurement Specialist will ensure the implementation of a robust sourcing process in compliance with Global Procurement guidelines, while adhering to the FEED and LIFT principles.

 

2.- JOB EXPECTATIONS - Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure Compliance with Procurement Processes:

    • Follow the Global Procurement 7 Step Process.

    • Use eSourcing tools in Ariba and ensure all necessary agreements and statements of work are in place.

  • Develop and Implement Category Strategies:

    • Create long-term sourcing strategies aligned with global category leaders.

    • Implement short and long-term regional sourcing and strategic negotiations.

  • Promote Innovative and Cost-effective Initiatives:

    • Drive innovation, diversity spending, value, and cost reduction.

    • Implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency.

  • Manage Supplier Relationships and Programs:

    • Oversee relationships with external suppliers.

    • Implement Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program initiatives.

  • Analyze Performance and Mitigate Risks:

    • Develop, analyze, and act upon key performance indicators.

    • Identify and mitigate sourcing and contracting risks.

  • Engage and Communicate with Stakeholders:

    • Frequently update stakeholders on project status.

    • Engage senior leaders for issue escalation and support as needed.

    • Follow stakeholder engagement best practices to align on business needs and priorities.

  • Support Global and Regional Initiatives:

    • Act as the main contact for Professional Services in specific regions.

    • Support global and regional procurement initiatives aligned with annual goals.

  • Participate in Industry Events:

    • Attend industry events to bring new ideas to the organization.

 

  • Maintain Expertise and Proactive Leadership:

    • Be knowledgeable in key areas such as IT, Benefits, and Fleet for LATAM.

    • Maintain a proactive attitude, taking leadership on key initiatives and executing strategic bids across LATAM.


 

3.- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Regional Point of Contact: Serve as the liaison for IT, Benefits, Fleet for LATAM regional bids.

  • Develop Sourcing Strategies: Support the creation and implementation of strategies to meet savings and simplification goals in Brazil.

  • Execute Bids: Conduct regional and strategic bids across LATAM.

  • Manage Procurement Projects: Lead and manage multiple procurement projects with various business stakeholders.

  • Benchmarking and Analytics: Lead/support annual benchmarking exercises; apply spend analytics best practices and conduct deep dives in assigned categories.

  • Supplier Segmentation: Update annual supplier segmentation for the category.

  • Contract Management: Lead and monitor effective contract execution and management in assigned categories.

  • Standardize e-Sourcing: Lead and standardize e-Sourcing processes, create necessary templates.

  • Regional Initiatives: Participate in DE&I, Sustainability, and other regional initiatives.

  • Support Sourcing Initiatives: Assist with tactical and strategic sourcing as required.

  • Transformational Initiatives: Support procurement automation, e-invoicing, P-cards, and improvement of supplier payment.

  • Track Compliance: Monitor procurement compliance and escalate issues as necessary.

  • Approve Orders: Approve shopping carts for categories and expedite emergency orders when needed.

  • Maintain Procurement Tools: Manage procurement tools, including contracts, outline agreements, and catalogs.

  • Enforce Ariba Usage: Ensure the use of Ariba tool and guided buying.

  • Support Vendor Creation: Assist with vendor creation process and approvals in MDM.

  • Supplier Audits: Lead or participate in supplier audits.

  • Budget Support: Assist with the Business Services Procurement budget process.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or similar

  • Advanced English and Spanish

  • Solid experience in Procurement, Professional Services categories preferable.

  • Experience using SAP, ARIBA

  • Strong Project Management Skills, with excellent Communication skills and the ability to Collaborate with internal/external partners.

  • Strong Business Analytics skills utilizing business tools and information systems when solving problems and making decisions. Using data to support recommendations.

  • Strong Leadership skills, and Relationship building at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong Negotiation skills.

  • Planning and anticipation demonstrate Integrity in all business settings and show the ability to control emotions, mannerisms, and communication style.

  • Ability to work closely with the Legal team to build, negotiate and execute contracts

  • Focus on Partnership and Collaboration.

  • Ability to effectively work cross-functional and cross-regional within Procurement and other functions
