Main Purpose:
Provide close and effective support for the regulatory processes in Brazil, to obtain the necessary government approvals for the legal registration and import of Hill’s products. Demonstrate a high sense of ownership, proactivity and critical thinking. Be very organized and have strong attention to detail. Ensure compliance with deadlines and consistent access to Hill’s products. Maintain open, clear and effective lines of communication with the global Regulatory team, cross-functional partners, trade associations and regulatory authorities, as applicable. Report to the area manager and carry out constant updates regarding progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of pet food dossiers for high quality, timely and successful submissions with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA);
- Review, approval and control of stickers, review and approval of artworks;
- Review and approval of Marketing and Veterinary Affairs materials;
- Report regularly the progress to the Regional Regulatory Affairs Department with relevant KPIs, particularly in terms of timelines, status of supportive data required from other functions and dossier preparation;
- Track and work on timely license renewals (products and establishments), monitor NetOps notifications and work on formula changes;
- Ensure proper electronic archiving of all documents submitted to and received from Competent Authorities and Notified Bodies, keep regulatory databases updated;
- Work closely with other regions to obtain the relevant documents and information for product dossiers;
- Lead process simplification, automation and harmonization activities to improve efficiency within the team;
- Keep SOPs up to date and create new ones as needed;
- Stay abreast of relevant changes to regulations affecting Hill’s products, provide impact analysis and assure compliance;
- Update the area manager on the main matters in progress, reporting in a timely manner when there are situations of urgency or medium-high level of complexity. Present possible solutions, actively act in helping to solve the issues, predict recurrence by giving suggestions and improving processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Veterinary, Pharmacy or any related area.
- Relevant experience in regulatory affairs.
- Understanding of registration and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of industry practices, techniques and standards.
- Good written and verbal communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good planning and organizing skills. Attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- High sense of ownership, proactivity and critical thinking.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent digital literacy, which includes working with databases and Google applications/tools.
- Advanced English level.
