Job Summary:

The IT Infrastructure Support Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our IT services. This position is responsible for effective troubleshooting and second-level resolution of technology issues, deployment and setup of personal computers (hardware, software, and peripherals), and acts as the main point of contact for infrastructure service problems and inquiries. The specialist supports employees at all levels, communicating complex technical concepts in an understandable manner, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation in line with global IT standards.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide technical support for all IT infrastructure incidents, including desktops, laptops, LAN and wireless connectivity, and network printers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues reported by users, ensuring timely documentation and closure of reported incidents.
  • Offer comprehensive support to employees—including senior executives—translating technical information for non-technical users.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients, supporting local and global IT projects and initiatives.
  • Serve as the local point of contact for cyber security enforcement and ensure compliance with all IT security standards.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple support tickets and project tasks, making effective decisions and coordinating with global teams as needed.
  • Assist with setup and coordination of IT infrastructure in office spaces and meeting rooms, including connectivity and equipment support.
  • Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement efforts by researching new technologies and recommending solutions to enhance infrastructure performance.
 
 
Required Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in IT infrastructure support within a similar-sized organization, preferably in the private sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to simplify technical concepts for users.
  • Solid knowledge of PCs, laptops, networks, and mobile devices, as well as troubleshooting both hardware and software issues.
  • Google Suite knowledge.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage stress, and adapt to fast-paced environments.
 
 
Desired Qualifications:
 
  • Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundations v3, or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
  • Experience with hyperconverged solutions such as Nutanix.
  • Proven client service orientation and ability to work effectively with diverse teams across local, regional, and global environments.
  • Previous experience supporting executive-level staff.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Participation in professional organizations or committees related to IT infrastructure.
