Job Summary: 

The Pilot Plant Engineer is accountable for supporting the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for the performance, planning, materials, process capability, and reliability of plant processing and utilities systems. The role also involves leading projects, material sourcing and other initiatives related to the area.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for ensuring compliance w/Colgate-Palmolive, local, state, and federal standards and guidelines related to EHS, Quality, and Regulatory
  • Serve as primary resource to the operations and quality team for issues involving design, process changes and equipment modification by soliciting feedback and driving continuous improvement
  • Contributes to the design, specification, installation, start up, troubleshooting, and improvement of processing and utility systems 
  • Follow the production planning schedule to ensure the needs of business partners are properly addressed.
  • Develop and maintain specifications, user documentation, and procedures for processes and equipment which are consistent with Factory Performance and Reliability goals as well as Quality and EHS Standards
  • Implement specific standardization, simplification and margin improvement projects.    
  • Drive the company values and principles of managing with respect in all daily business affairs.  
  • Take part in the maintenance of the equipment including validation, calibration and documentation as per assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Support Implementation of Operational Excellence, Factory Performance & Reliability (FP&R), 5S (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize and Sustain) and Visual control.
  • Support implementation of new technology, equipment strategies, and products within the Pilot Plant.
  • Fulfills all aspects of packaging/labeling/shipping for internal and external studies and evaluation and Material requirement of the GTC laboratories in Mexico City.
  • Other job functions that may be assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • 0 to 1 Years of Functional Experience Required
  • Mid - Advanced level of English (Required)
  • Google Tools (Sheets, Docs, Slides) 
  • Bachelor's Degree: MAJOR: Chemical Or Industrial Engineering
