JOB PURPOSE

 

Reporting direct to the Senior Marketing Manager, lead marketing plans and campaigns with the main goal of improving Hill’s Share of Market (SOM) in Therapeutic and Wellness categories.

Contribute to building Hill’s brand awareness and acquire new pet parents into Hill’s.

Focus on partnership with Vet Professional Affair team to grow as Best recommended Brand for both brands. 

Support Retail Marketing and Customer Development teams to develop and execute local plans in line with agreed strategies and brand objectives.

Managing Brand P&L driving pricing and margin growth. 

Proactively collaborate with the EMEA Regional Marketing Team.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Development & alignment of mid-year review & budget review process in partnership with the Senior Marketing Manager.

Prepare monthly performance reviews for brand/categories, and provide required information and analysis for the commercial monthly discipline process.

Lead local Go To Market process including collaboration with the cross functional team.

Lead and prepare Sales meetings and Cycle Insights meetings.

Develop the 6p’s strategy for both Hill’s Prescription Diet and Hill’s Science plan brands.

  • Professional recommendation 

  • Strong collaboration together with the Senior Marketing Manager and PVA team to define focus priorities and find new opportunities on the Vet channel to increase the Vets endorsement

  • Product assortment

  • Portfolio Responsibility together with the Senior Marketing Manager for overall Hill’s brand in order to achieve Net sales, margin, profit and share targets

  • Lead NPD process, in partnership with Regional team and Senior Marketing Manager, with presentations to the whole team and GM, and develop the 6P launch.

  • Handle product artwork and SKU development and approval processes. Lead local adoption/translation of advertising materials from the region.

  • Placement

  • Collaborate with Customer Development team to set our distribution goal by each Quarter/Cycle according to marketing plan priorities and focus

  • Promotion 

  • Lead promotional budget for the brand, using key processes including Ebuy.

  • Develop the Promo plan for the brand, according to the RGM and the GTN budget, in collaboration with the Retail Marketing Manager. 

  • POP materials

  • Collaborate with Retail Activation Manager to ensure plan execution

  • Pricing

  • Analyze pricing dynamics on the market and lead SPI process for the country 


KEY COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Consumer/Retail Marketing experience. At least 3 years  in brand management.

  • Establishing trust and building links both internally and with agencies: initiating and developing long-term relationships and networks as a key priority.

  • Strategy/Vision: Developing strategies and proactively responding to vets/consumer/shopper trends

  • Strong analytic and decision making skills

  • Strong commercial and financial understanding

  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrating sound commercial and insight based judgment in making recommendations.

  • Resilient and solutions oriented

  • Curious, external mind set

  • Proficient English

  • International experience in another Hub or Division/Global would be considered a plus.
