Join the Colgate-Palmolive Information Security department as an Information Security Data Protection Analyst and be part of our growing team! Our Information Security group plays a vital role in helping the organization balance risk by crafting policies and procedures tailored to Colgate's business objectives. In this friendly and dynamic role, you’ll collaborate with diverse business areas and Global Information Technology teams worldwide.


We're looking for someone with a solid background in Data Loss Prevention, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) technology, and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solutions. As an Information Security Data Protection Analyst, you'll team up with Security Operations and various business units, working to understand their data protection needs. Your creativity will shine as you contribute to designing solutions that advance our protection capabilities. This position is based out of Piscataway, NJ location. Work visa sponsorship not available for this position


What you'll do

  • Offer expertise in designing security controls to protect enterprise data and engage with multi-functional teams for technical control implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build a data protection roadmap, ensuring robust security measures for Colgate-Palmolive’s data.
  • Assist the Data Protection Team in developing documentation, including policies, procedures, training materials, and metrics for the data protection program.
  • Enhance data monitoring capabilities to increase visibility and safeguard Colgate-Palmolive’s data from malicious attacks.
  • Conduct Business Process Reviews to identify data exposure risks and provide guidance on user training for data protection tools. Stay updated on security technologies and best practices.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in IT industry
  • 3+ years of experience with DLP, CASB or DSPM technology platforms
  • Proven experience in data protection security controls, compliance and risk assessments, ideally in the consumer goods or manufacturing sector
  • Strong organizational, research, and problem-solving skills to evaluate situations, make recommendations and take effective action independently
  • Strong IT background with knowledge of cybersecurity policies and standards related to Data Protection

 
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, and/or Computer Science
  • CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • Ability to think with a security mentality
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new technologies, tools, internal/external systems and design frameworks
  • Strong written and oral communication skills


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $94,000.00 - $133,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
