Colgate-Palmolive, a global leader in consumer products, is looking for a talented Analytics Engineer focused on Master Data to join our innovative Global IT Data Platforms team. As a key member within our technical Master Data Management (MDM) group, you will design, develop, and operationalize high-quality, scalable master data solutions. Your work will play a pivotal role in delivering trusted, analytics-ready data to fuel Colgate’s worldwide analytics, digital transformation, and business growth initiatives.

 

This position is based out of Piscataway, NJ location. Work visa sponsorship not available for this position.

 

What you will do:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance master data assets for enterprise-wide consumption using the CP Enterprise Data Platform on Snowflake.

  • Apply data modeling best practices to create and maintain scalable, maintainable data models on Snowflake (using SQL, Python, DBT, or similar tools).

  • Transform raw master data into analytics-ready datasets through robust ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and documentation to enable business intelligence, advanced analytics, and self-service initiatives.

  • Design, implement, and optimize technical data governance and analytics solutions that serve end-to-end business processes and data domains.

  • Manage a centralized and reliable data repository to ensure consistent, standardized, and accurate master data (Product, Vendor, Customer) across systems and analytics use cases.

  • Ensure high data quality, governance, and compliance with company standards and best practices throughout the master data lifecycle.

  • Provide day-to-day support for solution delivery, ongoing operations, and application management.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, troubleshoot data issues, and continuously improve master data analytics capabilities.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT for data warehousing, data modeling, and analytics pipeline development.

  • Strong Python, SQL, and analytical skills; experience building analytics datasets and pipelines (ETL/ELT) with large, complex data.

  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD processes (e.g., GitHub, GitHub Actions).

  • Exposure to data modeling techniques (star/snowflake schema), modern data architectures, data curation, and advanced ETL practices.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, GCP, Atlan, Sigma, Domo

  • Familiarity with SAP ERP environments and SAP MDG (Master Data Governance)

  • Proficient in data modeling for SAP and master data structures

  • Knowledge of additional object-oriented programming languages

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.

  • Ability and eagerness to quickly learn and master new technologies and analytics tools.


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $94,000.00 - $133,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
