This position is primarily responsible for leading the development of multiple Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) Funding the Growth and Cost to Serve Initiatives, utilizing Project Management tools, processes and methodologies and Lean Six Sigma Principles. This entails having demonstrated experience and an in-depth understanding of managing projects and Six Sigma principles and the ability to effectively lead cross functional teams on complex initiatives.
This position will work closely with CS&L leaders to clearly understand strategies and goals across functional teams and ensure the appropriate number and type of resources (e.g., funding, people, technology) are assigned to all projects supporting these strategies. It will also periodically engage leadership sponsors as appropriate to secure key decisions, identify risks and issues and provide status updates.
This role is also aimed to enhance the analytical capabilities within the organization and ensure that analytics play a key role in supporting logistics efficiency projects. This approach will drive better decision-making, improve project outcomes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
This position will be responsible for developing collaborative partnerships with CP colleagues, suppliers, other manufacturers and customers to assist in achieving their goals, KPIs, and projects/initiatives.
Overall Project Management responsibilities include:
Project initiation and planning:

Partners with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of scope elements, deliverables and management expectations

Develops project charter & scope documents (updates scope as needed)

Ensures project is appropriately funded and calls out potential risks (i.e., project costs across all functions) · Ensures team is adequately resourced (i.e., skills set, appropriate functional expertise, availability)

Identifies, communicates and plans for critical project risks

Understands and considers impact of adjacent projects while maintaining clarity on current project scope · Identifies and secures key decisions, engaging leadership sponsors as appropriate, throughout the process
Managing and communicating project timelines issues and risks:

Manages overall project timeline and integrates all key project activities

Defines and maintains project critical path

Alerts leadership of long-lead critical path items

Issues critical notifications as needed
Coordinating and facilitating team communication/ flow of information and decision making:

Schedules and chairs regular team meetings

Leverages latest collaboration tools and technologies to facilitate information sharing

Ensures learnings are captured throughout the project and leverages lessons learned from prior initiatives to optimize results

Facilitates decision making on key issues

Ensures knowledge assets generated for the project are appropriately codified and archived consistent with any legal or regulatory requirements

Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to project management.
Providing key project interface to senior management:

Partners with functional leadership to ensure that risks and issues are appropriately communicated and decisions made in a timely manner.

Conducts periodic project reviews with leadership

Anticipates potential global requirements and works with global leadership to bring the project deliverables into alignment with existing global initiatives.
Building Project Management capability:

Collaborate with functional partners to align on standard processes and approaches, updating as needed

Participate in the development of formal tools and training, delivering as needed

Informally coach team members in application of Project Management tools

Seek external best practices related to Project Management to apply within Colgate
Completing the project and presenting the results/ learnings / KPIs:

Identifies lessons learned via Continuous Improvement Reviews

Works with project team to ensure on-going change management and proper hand-off to the business · Presents key learnings and communicate outstanding uses and risks to key stakeholders
Enhance and develop new analytics to support Logistics efficiencies initiatives pipeline:

Utilize advanced analytical skills to mine, interpret, and analyze logistics data

Develop predictive models and analytics dashboards to provide insights into logistics processes
-
Assess current analytics tools and identify areas for enhancement
-
Integrate advanced analytics tools and techniques to improve logistics efficiency
Democratizing Analytics:
-
Create training programs to enhance analytical skills across the organization.

Provide formal training and workshops on the use and interpretation of analytics tools

Ensure analytics tools and dashboards are user-friendly and accessible to all relevant stakeholders

Develop self-service analytics solutions allowing team members to derive insights independently.
Qualifications
Required:
- BA/BS in Business / Logistics / related field
- 7 years of Customer Service / Logistics / Supply Chain experience
- Strong organizational, project management and coordination skills
- Advanced analytical skills with ability to mine and interpret data
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
Preferred:
- Functional / Technical knowledge of Logistics: Warehousing and Transportation
- Well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills
- Solid systems experience, including SAP, DOMO, Snowflake and Microsoft Office
- Experience working on projects using Lean Six Sigma principles
- Good understanding of cross functional processes, including Finance, CDO and Manufacturing
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $102,400 - $144,000 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
