The Network Operations Innovation Specialist is a key role responsible for supporting horizon 1, 2 & 3 global innovation initiatives from ideation to Go-To-Market. This individual will communicate details of all upcoming formula & packaging changes to the wider Global End to End Supply Chain Team, communicate global innovation progress, and provide updates to Divisional and E2E Leadership for internal and external manufactured products. This position requires elements of both a business role and a technical role. Key partners are Hill's North America and Global Supply Chain Organization, Global Innovation & Regional Marketing, Science & Technology (S&T), Product Safety, Regulatory & Quality (PSRQ), Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L), and the Plant teams. Core Responsibilities

 

  • Innovation Implementation 

    • Collaborates with Commercial and Technology Partners and major partners in the  implementation and rollout of H1/H2/H3 global innovation initiatives

    • Act as system gate-keeper for all upcoming formula & packaging changes in the North America Hill’s plants

    • Participate and support the technology transfer process for new products and formula changes

    • Work with Engineering and the plants to define NP Capital spend required and timing and communicate to commercial team for P&L input

  • Communication and Visibility 

    • Provides global innovation progress, updates, and metrics to Global and Divisional Leadership and  E2E leadership

    • Maintain appropriate communication with partners including regular status reporting

    • Identify performance improvement opportunities and effectively communicate findings

    • Create compelling data visualizations to communicate results with impact and clarity

  • Profitable Growth

    • Help identify paths to profitability for H2/H3 initiatives and lead the alignment process to implement  them

    • Provide New Product costing and help assess a longer term strategy to ensure optimal profitability

  • Supply Design for scale up

    • Participate in the creation of agile and profitable supply alternatives for global H1/H2/H3 innovation scale up

    • Support and/or manage Supply Chain driven savings, capacity, or efficiency projects

  • Process Improvements

  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements in the areas of data analysis, reporting, and communication

 
 

Required Qualifications

  • B.A. / B.S.  in Engineering, Food Safety, Supply Chain, or other related technical field.

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Supply Chain (production, engineering, planning, inventory and/or distribution)

 

Required Competencies

  • Project management skills and interest in systems, data and analytics 
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and deliver multiple projects in parallel on time with excellent customer satisfaction

  • Possesses strong mathematical skills and is able to analyze large amounts of complex data to formulate conclusions and recommendations 

  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work in virtual teams

  • Demonstrated strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills

  • Leadership and change management

  • Coordination and autonomy to keep track of Project’s metrics

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Working knowledge of higher level analytical and reporting tools (SmartSheets, Minitab, Google data studio, Tableau, Domo or similar)

  • Experience with databases and SQL language

  • Experience with visualization & analytics tools (Examples: Tableau, DOMO, Power BI, Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru & Data Guru, Alteryx)

  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Slides and Docs)


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $83,200 - $117,500 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
