Job Summary (purpose):
Colgate-Palmolive is looking for an Information Technical Specialist to join its growing Governance Team. The Technical Specialist will work closely with the discrete business areas, as well as the Global Information Technology functional organizations across the globe.
We are excited to invite applications for the position of Project management Technical specialist in our Global Information Technology Organization.
This role plays an integral role in developing, implementing and maintaining global systems that support the Global IT processes of planning, prioritization, resource planning, project tracking and reporting & analytics.
Main Responsibilities:
- Understanding concepts of business processes, industry practices, and technology in the area of Project management
- Engage the GIT organization and business partners to understand the challenges, opportunities and capture business requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups in IT to understand end-to-end processes and solutions touchpoints/integration
- Perform solution design, system configuration / build, and application testing in line with agreed timeframes, business requirements and global standards.
- Ensure that the crafted systems are successfully implemented across the organization, meeting all predefined criteria
- Define policies, procedures, strategy for IT process to be aligned with SOX
- Evaluation of controls to test its efficiency
- Assist IT team with resolution of observations raised during internal or external audit.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the systems to ensure they are functioning accurately and efficiently
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on lessons learned from audits and compliance activities
Required Qualifications:
- Strong oral & written communication skills with an ability to express sophisticated technical concepts in business terms
- Deep Knowledge in computer systems and the newest technologies
- Experience in programming languages and integration platforms
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of software development and implementation experience
- Hands-on experience of custom application development using Javascript or Python
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Planview or similar Project management platforms
- Developing applications on cloud platforms (GCP)
