Job Purpose & Context:

Design & implement an aligned communications strategy to support organizational & functional goals, and build strong equity with external collaborators through development & management of strategic public relations and social media.

  • This position is responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to enhance the organization's corporate image and reputation. 

  • The person will play a crucial role in handling both internal and external communications, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across various channels.

  • Key to handle internal collaborators and ensure effective delivery - enforce both to time and impact

 

Key Accountabilities:

Support design & implementation of  Communications Strategy:

  • Build comprehensive communication strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. 

  • These strategies should encompass both internal and external communication efforts and both short term & long term.

 

External Communications:

  • Lead external communication initiatives to improve the organization's reputation and promote its key messages to collaborators, including customers, investors, media, and the general public. 

  • Media Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, establish relationships with key journalists, and proactively pitch stories, PR campaigns, press releases etc.

 

Internal Communication:

  • Develop and implement internal communication programs to keep employees advised, engaged, and aligned with the organization's mission and values.

  • This includes drafting and distributing newsletters, coordinating employee events, and handling internal communication platforms.

 

Brand Management:

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and alignment across various communication channels. 

  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines and provide mentorship to internal collaborators on brand representation round corporate communication platforms and assets.

 

Content Creation:

  • Create compelling and engaging content for various communication channels, including websites, social media platforms, internal portals, and print materials. 

  • Ensure content is aligned with the organization's communication objectives and brand guidelines.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

Identify and engage key collaborators, including customers, investors, community organizations, and industry influencers. Develop and maintain positive relationships with these collaborators to support the organization's objectives and improve its reputation

 

Measurement and Analysis:

  • Track and analyze the efficiency of communication initiatives using appropriate metrics and tools. 

  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and recommending improvements.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Corporate / Marketing (+CSR) Communications Background

  • MBA (Marketing)/ Masters or equivalent experience in Mass Communications

 

Preferred Qualification:

  • Proficiency with Google suite

  • Experience within FMCG industry or a Listed company
