It is an exciting time to be a part of the Finance team at Hill's Pet Nutrition. Our highly energetic and focused Finance Team is dedicated to driving growth for Hill's in this constantly evolving landscape. As the Financial Analyst, your understanding of the Finance Organization and its end-to-end process is vital. You will be responsible for managing financial processes such as balance sheet reconciliations, IT lease coordination and aiding in ensuring compliance in global and local accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP, SOX) through the placement of effective controls and guidelines to achieve a high level of accuracy. Your expertise in standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement is important to this role.

 

What You Will Do:

 

Below is an outline of the primary areas of responsibility this position will manage which will include:

 

  • General Accounting tasks will include month end closing, Balance Sheet reconciliation coordination, review/tie out of payroll tax payments to the ledger, review/clearance of Intercompany balances, support for Intercompany billings and backup for Hill’s daily Treasury activities;

  • Quarterly Reporting tasks include management of quarterly Compliance and Banking Certifications;

  • Coordinate with Hill's Subsidiaries and CBS team for monthly remittance postings to US books;

  • Coordinate and assess leased IT Assets (compiles and reviews schedules & rates, facilitates and helps manage new lease agreements, records monthly financial impact, reviews monthly billings & payments). Subject matter expert for departmental leasing questions;

  • Acts as administrator of American Express programs;

  • Coordinate and consolidate Hill’s Global annual property insurance survey for reporting to Colgate-Palmolive;

  • Complete the renewal application process for the AIG credit insurance and track the A/R aging report on a quarterly basis;

  • Approve SAP Access requests for US Company and be the contact for global requests;

  • Prepare and submit required government survey reports;

  • Actively participate in the Hill's Global - Annual SOX compliance program;

  • Comply with all policies and standards;

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field of study;

  • At least 3 years of successful work experience within a corporate and/or international consolidation accounting environment;

  • Flexibility and availability to work extended hours and/or weekends when necessary;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;

  • Excellent analytics and problem solving skills;

  • Strong Excel and Google Suite skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and one or more years of work experience in public accounting;

  • At least 2 years work experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of finance systems;

  • Prior work experience coordinating processes with clients.

Salary Range $79,200 - $111,000 USD

Pay is based on several non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location.  In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive/Hill's offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
