Responsible for:   Customer Development Executives & Assistant Customer Development Manager 

 

Scope of Responsibility:

The CD Manager (Perfumery Channel) is responsible for delivering net sales, volume, and market share targets for an account. The CD Manager is also responsible for establishing long term mutually beneficial relationships with Key Customers and effectively utilizing resources with a certain budget.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Translate sales strategies into specific operational sales objectives (e.g., pricing, distribution, and share of shelf, volume, profitability, and market share) and other key performance indicators. KPI’s include gross to net, margin, forecast accuracy, account inventory levels, out of stocks, and promotional performance.

  • Ensure “winning at the shelf” is a top priority for the team, and that 5P tactics and demand marketing initiatives are executed with excellence at the point of sale.

  • Influence customers to grow sales, improve service and identify efficiencies by utilizing new techniques, tools, and information systems.

  • Arrange customer meetings on a regular basis to set tactical goals and future activities. Ensure goals are met by means of regular analysis, store checks and audits.

  • Establish effective relationships with distributors to ensure fulfillment of customer’s orders.

  • Work with Retail Marketing to leverage trade spending and develop effective promotional and in-store programs that drive consumption off the shelf. Ensure efficient and effective use of promotional material and equipment. 

  • Conduct detailed analyses of trends (brand share, pricing, category sales, competitive products, and promotional activity) and gain customer and CP agreement for a business plan that balances the needs of the account and Colgate.

  • Organize and provide effective management of sales representatives and merchandiser teams in accordance with Colgate-Palmolive procedures and policies. 

 

Required Qualification:

  • Higher Education/College Degree 

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience

  • Fluent in Turkish and English

  • Negotiation, Analytical skills
