The Operations Planner/Scheduler will execute the effective finished goods production scheduling and replenishment of finished goods, raw & packaged materials to meet forecasted demand and distribution.
Core Responsibilities:

Meet or exceed safety and quality standards.

Clearing blocked invoices and other financial transactions.

Use SAP data/system to set production plans, schedule requirements, inventory management, and schedule adherence.

Verify accuracy of daily transactions in SAP, production reporting systems, and yield reporting; performs monthly and quarterly inventories — physical and system.

Make arrangements to maintain inventory levels while facing logistical issues; recommend contingency plans to OP&M TL to address business interruption; facilitate troubleshooting of production scheduling problems, inventory variances, and yield variances in a timely manner.

Support productivity initiatives by monitoring processes to deliver against key performance goals including Production, Inventory, Scrap, Cost, Plant Service Level, Cycle Time Interval and Schedule Attainment.

Work closely with Operations Planning and Materials Leader to deliver customer service, productivity, and cost results and balance priorities.

Update SOP, SAP material master, and working with controller on costing of product ingredient changes.

Ensure raw and packaging material inventory processes and controls to effectively manage receiving, inventory, SLOB, and working capital.

Coordinate with Inventory, Planning & Deployment (IPD) team to support Hill’s domestic and international demand.

Adhere to operating budgets for variable and fixed overheads for the production planning and materials team.

Ensure that all materials shipped and received are in compliance with corporate and government standards for quality, trace-ability, and bio-terrorism.
Required Qualifications
- BA / BS Degree in Operations Management, Business, Technical field, Science fields or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in production, planning, purchasing, customer service or logistics.
- Analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP/ARIBA knowledge
- 3 years of related experience
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $51,200 - $64,000 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
