We are looking for a highly motivated Equipment Engineer to join our team! This role drives the maintenance of the toothpaste plant and ensures the maintenance effectiveness, productivity improvement by reducing unplanned downtime and coordinating to leverage basic maintenance skills of technicians.

 

What you will do

  • Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods

  • Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults

  • Diagnose breakdown problems

  • Coordinate the new project, fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly

  • Carry out quality inspections on maintenance jobs

  • Liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues

  • Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings and components

  • Complete emergency maintenance when equipment breaks down

  • Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment

  • Monitor and control maintenance costs

  • Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs

  • Improve health and safety policies, standards and procedures

  • Work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on factory assembly lines

  • Write the maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines

  • Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns

  • Manage the budget for the maintenance of equipment

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all policies and standards

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree of Engineering in the major of Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Instrument & Control Engineering or related

  • At least 3 years Maintenance in operation experience

  • Communication skill

  • Business presentation skill

  • Interpersonal Communication Skills, Self-motivation, Process leadership and Project Management skills

  • Computer Literacy (Google Tools, SAP QM, SCADA program, Wonderware - Intouch - Inbatch etc.)

  • Good command of English Communication (both writing and speaking)

  • Planning and Priority Setting

  • Analysis/Decision Making

  • Teamwork and Collaboration

  • Effectively use tools and provide training on improvement

  • Compliance standards and FP&R (Factory Performance & Reliability) standards

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years Maintenance Engineer Experience
