Finance Manager Assistant

We are looking for a new Finance Manager Assistant within our successful subsidiary located in Brussels. In this role you will be providing support to the Finance Manager, working in tandem to support accounting & tax of the different companies based in Belgium and the Netherlands as well as support the office management administration.

 

What You’ll Do                                                                                                                                                        

Every day is different, but below is a sample of what you will experience and expect to accomplish:

  •  Participate in preparations for monthly and quarterly closings

  •  Prepare monthly account analysis as well as the preparation of specific accounting entries

  •  Work according the rules of American accounting (use of US accounts)

  •  Prepare statistics for the various Belgian and Dutch institutions in case applicable

  •  Management of expense reports and different types of payments

  •  Management of supplier invoices (from PO creation to payment). Plus support accounts payable for different departments.

  •  Review of VAT declarations

  •  Preparation of tax returns

  •  Preparation of statutory accounts

  •  Update of rental capitalization following US rules

  •  Updating bank signatures

  •  Participation in the implementation of projects

  • 2-3 years of experience bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • Experience in a multinational, and in the SAP system is an asset

  • Fluent in French or Dutch, with a good base of English

  • Good knowledge of Excel

  • High level of accuracy and an eye for details
