Key Account Manager

We offer a challenging and rewarding role in the Key Account Management Team at our office in Breda, Netherlands focussing on the Pet- and Omnichannel national accounts. In this dynamic role you will collaborate with your Key Accounts, the Marketing and Sales colleagues alike, and are responsible for both long term growth plans as well as day-to-day execution.
What can you expect?
The Key account manager plays a crucial role in the organization as (s)he represents a large share of the volume sold, and the accounts are important resellers of Hill’s Pet Nutrition brands and products. Every day is different, here’s a glimpse of what you’ll do:
The Key Account Manager:

Develops a clear understanding of customer strategies, policies and future plans and helps shape business plans to leverage opportunities for Hill’s. Herein (s)he prepares and implements agreed annual business plans for each account consistent with overall sales volume and pricing goals, while responding competitively to the needs of the customer and which are consistent with overall sales and marketing plans.

Negotiates annual contracts with Key Customers meaning (s)he develops ‘Terms & Conditions’ and manages business in full compliance with the legal & regulatory environment and our internal policies . Furthermore (s)he monitors Profit & Loss by Customers and ensures compliance with the budgeted target.

Prepares budgets and latest estimates for volume and Gross To Net

Continually analyzing business results, effectiveness of investments and takes proactive actions to adjust if needed

Functions as an effective communicator sharing the agreed Joint Business Plan internally across departments in a clear and efficient internal communication to ensure excellent execution in the field and in the back office.

Helps the customers grow in Online and Omnichannel by sharing our knowledge of the Online Acceleration Centre in London and guiding them to implement best practices and techniques.

Master or college degree in Business or Economics

Industry Expertise: Bring a solid 5-7 years of work experience in FMCG or a specialty market, equipped with a proven track record of successful commercial skills.

Preference for Dutch speaking applicants as you mainly manage Dutch speaking Key Accounts. Advanced English proficiency is essential.

Highly analytical, comfortable in making sound decisions under conditions of uncertainty or complexity

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) and computer literacy; ideally proficient in Google tools.

Must be able to work independently and manage a demanding schedule
