The Role - Territory Manager - Auckland North

This position will be responsible to build and maintain positive relationships and provide a direct collaboration with the Veterinary and Pet Retail channel, servicing independent clinics and national key accounts in the Territory (Auckland North  regions - Including North Shore, stretching all the way to Kerikeri)

Following the Territory Management Plan, the successful candidate will represent the Hill's brand through regular visits, meetings and seminars in order to achieve increased distribution, recommendation and sales. This will involve virtual customer engagement alongside in-person sales calls across the Lower North Island.

 

The ideal candidate has the following skills

  • An exceptional sales professional who consistently closes deals with confidence,thrives in a competitive environment,and relentlessly pursues targets to drive outstanding business results.

  • Outstanding relationship management skills and customer focus

  • High level of self-motivation to increase sales and build business relationships

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and a willingness to embrace change

  • Digitally savvy - Google Suite or similar and using digital tools to analyse sales data

  • Undergo a comprehensive induction and training program, learning about the company, culture and role

  • Develop your insights and experience into the dynamic Vet and Pet channels

  • Undergo world class internal sales training to build on your influence and negotiation skills

  • Be given the tools and opportunity grow your territory, optimise distribution and develop strong customer relationships

  • Attend sales meetings and conferences to connect with your team

 

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Pharmaceuticals, Veterinary Science or similar field is strongly preferred. 

  • Previous sales experience in field sales, veterinary industry, FMCG, pharmaceutical company or nutrition company preferred.

  • Proficient computer skills in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and ability to learn company specific tools & programs

  • Fluent in English

  • Valid driver’s license required
