The Shopper Marketing Manager is responsible for brand activation and shopper conversion for select Retail Environments/customers. Responsible for executing national programs and leading local retail environment/customer programs aligned to the brand strategies. Responsible for gathering and applying shopper insights to create shopper solutions that drive sales. Works closely with the Lead Shopper Marketer, CDT Leader, and Retail Marketing to ensure clear brand messaging across all programs and alignment on priorities and investments.


Key responsibilities for this position are:


Shopper Marketing Strategy

  • Executing national programs and lead local retail environment/customer programs aligned to the brand strategies
  • Work closely with the Lead Shopper Marketer and CDT leader to develop the shopper marketing plans for their RE/customer
  • Research shopper & category trends. Identify shopper insights gaps and develop solutions from findings. As applicable, work with E-Shopper Marketing Manager for ecommerce activation

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Execute overall POP and promotion strategies for major IMC’s. Co-ordinate with the Lead Shopper Marketer to ensure all customer RE needs are accounted for in touchpoint planning upfront
  • Plan and analyze consumer and trade promotions, and recommend improvements and best practices
  • Identify & lead key “test and learns”

 Integrated Marketing Communications

  • Lead micro-briefs for brand activation (specific shopper campaigns)
  • Integrate shopper insights and target shopper segment into brand creative brief.


Basic Qualitifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.  MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of commercial experience of which 3+ years are in brand marketing, retail marketing, trade marketing or management consulting.
