The role provides nutritional, scientific information, and competitive insights to support internal customers and our team on the ground.

Amongst other things this position is responsible - working in tight connection cross-functionally – at global and local level - for the creation of scientific documents and presentations related to new products, base business and competitive products. 

This position is focused to address regional needs and ensure that materials developed and knowledge gained are shared for global use where applicable.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and provide veterinary and clinical nutrition perspective on key competitors’ claims to address competitive pressure
  • Provide the most up-to-date scientific and clinical nutrition information in support of media crises and sensitive cases, including facilitating the required approval process in fast turnaround
  • Analyze and inform markets about relevant new scientific publications related to clinical nutrition in our key disease categories
  • Assist in identifying veterinary profession trends and issues related to nutrition and report back to business
  • Support marketing team providing scientific & clinical nutrition expertise during the claims substantiation, bundle development and approval processes 
  • Respond in a timely fashion to scientific questions received  from the field or from the countries and related to pet food / diets  or to clinical nutrition   
  • Provides the PVA (Professional and Veterinary Affairs) teams with materials  to support category development and sales driving activities for CDO field activation
  • Create tech bundle for region-specific new product launches in coordination with various functions and train the relevant PVA accordingly
  • Update materials to support global product launches to match specific commercial needs of the region and train the relevant PVA accordingly
  • Support tailoring In-Clinic Feeding Experience (ICFE) surveys for region based on the agreed global and regional grid and surveys, manage the data and testimonial collection process, develop CER and manage scientific publications based on ICFE results
  • Manages webinar platform, coordinates webinar grid and keeps track of key education KPI for region.
  • Provide clinical nutrition and competitive perspectives upon request and in conjunction with appropriate functions


Basic Requirements:

  • DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) or equivalent
  • 4+ years in general veterinary or academic practice, with special interest and knowledge in small animal nutrition.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Board certification in nutrition, internal medicine, or small animal practice
