About the Role

As a Projects & Automation Engineer you will utilise your excellent project management skills to meet deadlines and control costs when playing a key role in our manufacturing and supply chain process. Your passion for efficiency will drive the sourcing and implementation of capital expenditure projects and will help the design of safe and durable equipment. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be based at our Villawood plant and will work closely with the manufacturing team. You will actively support of all areas of production with troubleshooting, continuous improvement, maintenance and EOHS issues. You will have a key role in managing the production of our new product lines and will be an agile future leader of our Manufacturing Team.


Skills & Experience

You will be an Engineering Graduate, majoring in a relevant field such as mechanical or mechatronics. You will have 5-10 years of project management or mechanical engineering experience and have had exposure to automation such as PLC, AGV’s, robotics or SCADA. Exposure to the design, manufacture and installation of packaging machinery or plant process equipment is highly desirable. You will have strong project management skills and will be an excellent communicator. Key to your success in this role is an interest the fast paced world of consumer goods and a passion for complex problem solving.


Potential career pathways from this role include; Site Engineering Group Manager, Maintenance Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer and Engineering Services Manager.
