Our company welcomes applications to the Planner, Global Process Technology Center position based in Piscataway, NJ. This position is responsible for developing the daily making and filling schedule for the Global Process Technology Center Pilot Plant operations.  The individual in this role is responsible for ensuring timely and cost effective planning, delivery and continuous management of materials to support batches for clinical and consumer studies, concept validations as well as all new process development  in the Oral and Personal Care categories.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop the weekly/daily/monthly production schedules for the Process Technology Center (PTC) Pilot Plant.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with cross functional customers in R&D, Engineering and Facilities.
  • Create and maintain all the SAP master data such as material masters, production planning data such as Bill of Materials, Rate Routing and Production Orders.
  • Define for each raw material accurate MRP data such as Safety Stock, re-order quantity, expiration dates, slow moving and obsolete materials in order to maximize efficiencies and minimize cost and waste, while increasing the levels of service and quality.
  • Management of all material inventories (raw and pack) at all storage locations such as Warehouse, Pilot Plant, and any other category Making & Storage locations.
  • Management of PTC Materials delivery/returns to ensure there is no impact on production.
  • Coordinate physical inventories and interface with Procurement for timely ordering and delivery of raw materials.
  • Maintain and update InBatch processes in collaboration with PD&I
  • Timely reporting of schedule adherence.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and simplify current processes.
  • Knowledge transfer of all SAP Materials Management systems/processes to continuously develop as a backup person to the Sr. Planning Analyst.
  • Develop and Train the Pilot Plant personnel on the technical usage of the SAP transactions and processes needed for their daily routine. Assist customers with Technical questions and SAP issues in general.

     

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in Engineering or related discipline)
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience required
  • Previous experience as a planner with demonstrated increases in level of responsibility is desired (prefer experience in an R&D environment) 
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Experience in working with business partners (customers) to understand and fulfill their needs.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint at a minimum 
  • Experience with SAP 4.0 software, especially MM and PP modules a plus.
