Job Purpose (Summary of what the job exists to accomplish)

Analysing and interpreting customer specific sales data to develop meaningful reports to make meaningful business decisions.

Job Context & Challenges (Indicate type and complexity of the challenges)

Ensure effective execution and maintenance of customer data.

Functional linkages (Indicate frequency where applicable )

Internal:  Consumer Marketing, Retail Marketing, CDT finance, CS&L, Customer Development and Key Accounts

External: Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Spar, Choppies, etc .

Key Accountabilities (A collection of duties and/or responsibilities assigned)


Related Activities

Report Development

  • Ensure that Customer Reports are completed on a monthly basis.
  • Develop accurate monthly Sales Reports by customer and/or market to assist CD function to make informed decisions.
  • Circulating reports timeously to CD, Consumer Marketing and Retail Marketing function



  • Having meaningful contribution to CBP monthly discipline with focus on the diagnostic preparation process
  • Attend customer specific category reviews on a quarterly basis

Developing and training

  • Present customer reports and give recommendation’s


Relationship Building

  • Strong cross- functional relationships



A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.


Experience: 2-3 years business analytical experience in FMCG environment (advantageous) 


Required:  Fluent English and local language



  • Previous experience working in a matrix environment
  • International business experience
  • French Language skills
  • Understanding of trade margins
