In today's dynamic retail environment, it is an exciting time to join the Customer Development team at Colgate! Our highly energetic and focused Customer Team is dedicated to driving growth for Colgate-Palmolive in this constantly evolving landscape. What role will you play as a member of the Customer Development team?
 
As the Customer Management Specialist supporting the Home Improvement Indirect and Professional team, you will help to grow sales, increase the share of market, improve services, and identify supply chain efficiencies. You will support this team, communicating our corporate and brand strategies, understanding customer objectives and strategy, and ultimately ensuring maximum profitability and a plan where we all win. You'll help develop and present business plans and understand and refine plan implications and customer input to better build growth through increased market share and financial return.
 
What you will do

  • Identify areas of opportunity for products and programs, help develop Customer Marketing strategies that incorporate consumer insights, and have an awareness of competitor activity to create promotional strategies
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams, brokers, and the customer retail team, leading with mutual trust and integrity to achieve deliverables and execute against strategy and goals
  • Seek opportunities to improve and propose creative solutions. Be able to adapt and adjust the strategy with the customer, revisit objectives and gain insights from pre and post evaluation and return on investment analyses to ultimately incorporate findings into future strategies
  • Leverage AI and business trends to help develop impactful selling stories, fact-based analysis (store level, pricing, promo etc)
  • Develop and support/enhance different tools and capabilities built in Google Data Studios, Sigma and Excel

 
Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years in sales support roles or adjacent experience
  • Superb communication skills and attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel (expertise with Pivot Tables), and Google suite of products
  • Familiarity with SQL language for querying databases (coding can be supported with AI capabilities)
  • Strong analytical background 
  • Knowledge and expertise of eCommerce capabilities 

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity working with a syndicated service (Nielsen, IRI) account
  • Experience working in consumer product goods


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $70,000.00 - $96,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
