3rd Shift
The Role:
The Packaging Line Flex coordinates, monitors, and supervises the activities of a packaging line area ensuring goals are achieved in support of assigned Team goals. Packaging Line Flex is responsible for the supervision of their assigned line ensuring the product meets all Quality and Food Safety Specifications in regard to packaging while complying with all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Packaging Line Flex is also responsible for ensuring the sanitation of the packaging area and performing line start-ups and shutdowns as required.
Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for understanding safe, quality and efficient operation of all packaging equipment.

Ensure all necessary reports are completed correctly, legibly and in a timely manner.

Collaborate with QA to ensure that issues during the shift are being addressed and that the product is meeting all target specifications. Make adjustments as necessary and involve others (Packaging Lead, Shift Manager, Operations Support Manager, etc.) as necessary.

Monitor all activities in the packaging area, immediately reporting downtimes to Lead, Supervisor, Manager, Maintenance or Quality Assurance when downtime cannot be corrected by oneself.

Facilitate good communication and planning with packaging leads and operators to ensure that changeovers are done timely, safely and effectively.

Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill, will serve as back.

Safely and efficiently work with hazardous cleaning agents.
-
Ensures that the standards of personal conduct and hygiene are always maintained in order to comply with the HPP Food Safety.

Meet or exceed the plant productivity goal for the shift.

Be involved in troubleshooting all problems.
-
Maintain a clean, safe work environment that promotes associate safety and product integrity

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

Standing on a concrete floor
-
Must be capable of working at elevated heights and or confined space
-
Wear proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform)

Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55 lbs.
-
Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust dirt and chemicals
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Be 18 years of age or older
-
Have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education
-
Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules
Preferred Qualifications:
-
3+ years of manufacturing experience operating a variety of machines
-
2 years of work experience within manufacturing, or a technical and/or trade discipline
-
Working knowledge of food safety practices
-
Computer Experience
-
Knowledge of inventory control principles
-
Ability to operate a forklift/OSHA certification
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $21,25 - $25,00 USD
Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.
Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:

- Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
- Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
