The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator will improve upon efficiency and effectiveness of the team’s performance as well as driving continuous improvement projects, and requires considerable interaction with others to ensure the safety and health of plant employees, as well as the community and environment; and to ensure compliance with all government regulations and Colgate Environmental, Occupational, Health, and Safety Standards & Guidelines.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage EHS budgets to include Safety Programs, PPE, Medical Supplies, Medical Tests, Waste Removal, & Environmental Services

  • Manage EHS Programs to include hazardous & solid waste programs; wastewater & stormwater programs; first responders; fork truck safety; industrial hygiene & medical surveillance programs

  • Facilitate relationships with vendors, external agencies, corporate partners to ensure regulatory compliance & benchmarking of best practices

  • Assists with EHS Regulatory & Standard compliance

  • Responsible for performing job hazard analysis, identifying risks, & providing PPE as needed to mitigate risks that cannot be eliminated

  • Manage incident reporting via SAP Incident Management System and assists with mandatory corporate EHS reporting

  • Participates in and leads EHS Audits internally and externally

  • Participates on task teams to design & implement new EHS programs or standards

  • Recommends plant improvements in the areas of occupational safety & environmental exposure reduction. 

  • Participates in and leads Continuous Improvement Reviews for resolution of EHS issues

 

Required Qualifications:  

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 5+ years of manufacturing or Environmental, Health, and Safety experience

  • Working knowledge of SAP, Google Suite, and Excel

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Technical College/Vocational school certificate or Associate's degree in related areas of manufacturing

  • OSHA 30 Hour Course

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills; ability to develop and express ideas

  • Strong Planning and organizational skills/project management skills 

  • Problem assessment and problem solving skills

 

 


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $64,000.00 - $87,500.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
