Person employed on this position will be responsible for supporting Legal Director in handling everyday legal affairs within CEE region, in particular CP Poland, CP Services, CP Manufacturing located in Poland as well as the countries without a lawyer on the ground, ie Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Bulgaria, Albania, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Slovenia and Bosnia. This will generally include providing legal assistance in the fields of commercial, corporate, civil, labor, administrative, competition, marketing and custom law.
LEGAL COUNSEL, CEE
(Employment contract by the end of September 2024)
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitor the laws and regulations; inform interested departments; request necessary changes in company procedures; ensure that the activities of the company comply with law.

Prepare and follow up contracts from a legal point of view and protect the interest of C-P; get the final approval from the Legal Director.

Provide advice and assistance to all company functions on specific laws and regulations and get the final approval from the Legal Director.

Keep the company's legal databases updated and collaborate with the GLO for guidelines and best practices to be implemented locally.

Examine company documentation, advertisements and other materials to ensure their compliance with all relevant legislation; recommend necessary actions under the supervision of the Legal Director.

Support negotiations and liaise with regulating bodies and other authorities to ensure that the company acts in accordance with law and that all statutory requirements are adhered to.

Prepare drafts of all kinds of C-P legal correspondence and get the final approval from the Legal Director

Prepare and conduct simple litigations on behalf of C-P under supervision of the Legal Director.

Participate in legal related projects and activities conducted in countries and legal entities concerned.

Prepare and conduct internal training sessions regarding different areas of law.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Higher legal education
- Experience in a similar position, min. 1 year
- Legal experience in a law firm or in-house with a focus on counseling clients on legal issues
- Strong drafting, negotiation, critical thinking and strong analytical skills required
- Self-starter, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of consumer products business is a plus.
- Ability to provide practical, business focused advice.
- Process-oriented with strong organizational skills but also flexible.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong communication & collaboration skills.
- Very good English (a must).
