Data Management Function Overview:

Data Management as a function has the objective to achieve one version of data in core business systems and applications, enabling correct transactional processes and analytics, resulting in use of the information as the asset valued for the Company.

Data in scope of the function include reference data, master data, content, analytic data, social data, big data, their definitions, governance processes, metrics, lifecycle and technology.

Scope of the data management depends on current Company’s strategy and what is assessed and considered as key priority to achieve desired business outcome.

 

Job Purpose:

To execute the data management strategy globally.  This includes Customer, Product, Vendor, Finance data as well as other data being in scope of Global Data Management strategy.  Lead CBS Data Management team located in the shared service center in project execution and business operations ensuring effective delivery of quality data in our business systems and agreed service levels in data management processes.  This includes global responsibilities for data standards, definitions, governance processes, policies overseeing the implementation of standards across all divisions.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading business change related to Global Data standards and governance with accountability to  Data Management Manager;

  • Executing and coordinating all Global Data Management projects;

  • Working with the Global Data Management, CBS Data Management, GIT to establish time lines, allocate resources and agree project assignments;

  • Manage the business process change by identifying all affected resources, contributing to the organization design, effectively communicating all aspects of the change and executing training programs within the division;

  • Tracking, reporting and communicating progress against plan;

  • Support Global Data Management business operations;

  • Implement data management policies and procedures for the Divisions within the scope of the responsibility, ensuring quality, security, accessibility and availability of all relevant data;

  • Establish and agree service levels for the execution of creating, maintaining and archiving data management processes;

  • Monitoring and reporting Key Performance Indicators for Data Quality and Process Service Levels.

 

Qualifications:

  • A University Degree; Master Degree preferred;

  • 3+ years of relevant experience managing projects (or working in Master Data Role);

  • 1+ years experiences in Team Lead role preferred;

  • Fluent in English is required;

  • Master Data Experience (S4, ECC, MDGM, GDSN) would be an advantage; 

  • Very independent;

  • Practical knowledge of Google tool suite (Google sheets, Google Docs, etc.);

  • Detail-oriented and accurate;

  • Focused on problems solving;

  • Comfortable delivering presentations and coordinating activities in cross-functional teams;

  • Analytical;

  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
