Job Title:  EU Indirect Procurement Media Category Manager

Core responsibilities of this position include:

  • Leads the development of Media eSourcing strategy for the Division;

  • Identify and develop major Funding the Growth initiatives, gain local, divisional and global alignment and delivers financial result to the bottom line;

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and agency partners to develop the local media value tracking mechanism in order to report savings/added value; 

  • Ensure regular updates of results, savings and specific projects throughout monthly reports and the utilization of the eSavings database; 

  • Leading the engagement of the internal stakeholders i.e. divisional Marketing leads to understand local Media business context and needs to build the pipeline of projects that have that highest savings potential;

  • Advertising Production, and Agency Fee Management within Colgate;

  • Assists Marketing stakeholders in the monthly and quarterly agency fee management process;

  • Manages and is accountable for the out-of scope agency fees for CP;

  • Accountable to develop simplification strategy for Agency spend;

  • Assists in the development and roll-out of the Indirect Procurement  strategy to oversee Advertising Production in the region; 

  • Leads all request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP) for the Media and Agency categories, and other procurement e-tools and process such as Ariba;

  • Ensure Effective Media Buying and Negotiations: 

    • Ensure robust Buying and Negotiation processes, strategis and the tools to monitor, are in place across entire Division in partnership with C-P Marketing, Local Indirect Procurement and Agencies; 
    • Monitor and assure alignment of all costs, fees, SOWs and KPIs across Division;

    • Organize and lead media performance and financial audits as well as cost benchmarking with independent media consultants; 

    • Partner with Local teams to provide direction on how to assess and capitalize on opportunities media buys;

    • Provide direction to Subsidiary Indirect Procurement Managers on how to effectively participate in local media negotiations in support of C-P Marketing and Agency;

    • Represent Division on CP Global Media Critical Action Task Force; 

    • Support Media Audits and implement continuous improvement from audit findings; 
  • Build CP Media capability and expertises: 

    • Provide media training to CP Marketing and Indirect Procurement teams; 
    • Develop and communicate media best practices; 

    • Identify and develop metrics, reporting tools, and processes to support media objectives; 

  • Driving Agency Performance: 

    • Support Divisional and Local teams to drive alignment of all principal media and communications agencies with global strategies and contractual commitments; 
    • Track and report MEC media volume discounts; 

    • Monitor performance against agreed KPIs and drive improvements in line with agreed targets.



  • A minimum of a BA/BS degree in Marketing or Business;

  • A minimum of 8 years of Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, CS&L or Financial experience including 2 years of Media environment (Media Procurement, Media Consultant, Media Agency, Advertising experience;

  • An advanced degree (MBA) is desirable;

  • In-depth knowledge of planning and buying of traditional and digital Media;

  • Familiarity with advertising production, marketing and advertising operations for above and below the line activities; 

  • Strong negotiation skills; 

  • Experience in vendor evaluations; 

  • Understanding of Advertising & Marketing agency operations; 

  • Proven success as a collaborative team leader; 

  • Self-starter, team player, effective leader and keen on working in cross-cultural working environment; 

  • People management experience; 

  • English proficiency.
